On December 3rd, LIAO Bing, president of GDAS, led a delegation to the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), the Hong Kong Science Park and the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences to discuss about technological cooperation in contributing to the construction of the International Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

On November 28th, the 2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Academician Summit and the Fifth Guangdong Academician Summit with the theme of "Intelligent Leadership in the New Era, Wisdom in the Greater Bay Area" opened in Dongguan. LIAO Bing, president of GDAS, was invited to the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.

On November 21st, Prof. Tobias Melz, Chairman of Fraunhofer Alliance Adaptronics visited GDAS and met with LI Dingqiang, Vice President of GDAS.

On October 25th, KIM Youngsam, president of the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), and JIANG Bingmo, vice president, led a delegation to visit GDAS. ZHOU Zhouyu, vice president of GDAS, on behalf of GDAS welcomed Youngsam Kim and his team. GDAS and KETI signed a memorandum of cooperation for further substantive plans.

On October 23rd, the fifth working meeting on Guangzhou-Birmingham cooperation is held by the cooperation steering committee. The two sides reviewed the progress and effectiveness of the implementation under the existed cooperation framework agreements, and issued the Economic Impact Report on Cooperation between the University of Birmingham and Guangzhou completed by the third party. They renewed the cooperation framework agreements and held the signing ceremony of the 2019 Guangzhou-Birmingham cooperation projects; two projects among the new agreements are made between GDAS and the University of Birmingham.

From September 21st to 24th, the Exhibition on Advanced Technologies of the 16th China-ASEAN Expo was held at Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangxi. LI Dingqiang, vice president of GDAS, led the team to participate in the event.

On August 8th, the GDAS-National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) Directors' Forum, organized by the GDAS and the Foshan government, was held in Foshan. Academician Sergei Chizhik, first vice-president of the Presidency of NASB, LIAO Bing, president of GDAS; Leonid Batyanovsky, consul general of the Consulate General of Belarus in Guangzhou, CAI Jiahua, Foshan first deputy mayor, WEN Zewei, former director of Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province attended the forum and delivered speeches. Both Sergei Chizhik and WU Qingping, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered keynote speeches. The opening ceremony was hosted by LI Dingqiang, vice president of GDAS.

On June 24th, LIAO Bing, president of GDAS, led a delegation to carry out technological exchanges in institutes of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU).
